The Federal Government has revealed plans to send ambulances and fact-flnding committee to Kano.

This is to check the true extent of the effect of the novel coronavirus in kano State, and also to enhance the efforts in fighting the spread of the virus in the state.

The Health Minister Osagie Ehanire made this known during the Presidential Taskforce briefing on coronavirus in Abuja on Tuesday.

The Health Minister said “I know his Excellency, the governor, to be a person who shows a very big interest in the health of his people and he will receive a high-power, a nine-man delegation sent to the state, by the Federal Ministry of Health today on a mission called fact-finding and also to offer support to the coronavirus response in Kano,”.

This is with regards to the reports of multiple deaths in kano state as a result of the coronavirus.

But the state government has termed the reports as fake news, emphasising that many of the deaths being reported are not related to COVID-19.
