The death toll from COVID-19 has increased to six after the death of Dr Aliyu Yakubu in Daura, Katsina State. NCDC confirmed this recent fatality in a tweet on Tuesday evening.
According to NCDC, sixteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 10 in Lagos, 2 in the FCT, 2 in Oyo, 1 in Delta and 1 in Katsina
As at yesterday, 7 April, 2020 there are 254 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fourty-four have been discharged with six deaths
The deceased was hospitalized at the Nigerian Air Force Reference Hospital few hours before his demise. Yakubu died on Sunday last week after his return from a trip to Lagos State.
