Driver Injured In An Accident on Nigeria's Longest Bridge

The driver of a Sport Utility Vehicle was involved in a lone accident on Third Mainland Bridge the Nigeria's longest bridge in Lagos State.

The accident happened on Sunday night the 13th day of the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19.

It was also reported that the driver, whose name and details were yet to be known, was the only occupant of the vehicle when the crash occurred.

The driver immediately was rescued by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command, and was rushed to the hospital.

“A lone accident involving a Toyota SUV has occurred on third mainland bridge. The driver who was the only occupant was seriously injured and rushed to the nearest hospital. Drivers kindly take caution.” the state police Command tweeted on Sunday night.

When contacted, Nosa Okunbor, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, said to our correspondent that he would investigate the crash.
