Nigeria Records 204 New Cases of COVID-19 In One Day, Total Infections 1,932

Nigeria has recorded 204 new cases of the COVID-19, which brings the country’s total of  infections cases to 1,932

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) tweeted on Thursday that of the new cases, 80 were recorded in Kano, 45 in Lagos, and 12 in Gombe, 9 in Bauchi, 9 in Sokoto, 7 in Borno, 7 in Edo, 6 in Rivers, 6 in Ogun, 4 in FCT, 4 in Akwa |bom, 4 in Bayelsa, 3 in Kaduna, 2 in Oyo, 2 in Delta, 2 in Nasarawa, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Kebbi.
Thursday’s new cases are the highest reported cases so far in a single day in the country since the NCDC started compiling the pandemic data in February.

The country has also recorded a total of 58 fatalities and 319 recoveries has been recorded.
Across the world, over 230 fatalities have been recorded since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in Wuhan one of the Chinese cities in December 2019.

Over 3,218,410 cases of the virus have been  recorded in 195 countries and territories. Of these recorded cases, at least 922,900 have  recovered.

The tallies, using data collected by AFP from national authorities and information from the World Health Organization (WHO), probably reflect only a fraction of the actual number of infections.
