EFCC Hands Over 'Diezani's Property' to Lagos State Govt. to Isolate COVID-19 Patients

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday handed over one of the forfeited properties of the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, to the Lagos State government use to isolate Coronavirus patients in the State.

The property consists of six flats and three bedrooms each and also a boys’ quarter was forfeited by Allison Madueke adhering to the order of the Federal High Court in 2017.

Speaking during the handling over, the Head of EFCC Lagos Zonal Headquarters, Mohammed Rabo announced that the donation was part of the commission's social responsibility efforts to kick against the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Rabo said, "In addition that mandate of the commission to eliminate economic and financial crimes, the commission is committed and ready to give all possible essential services that may be required of it in the curb the spread of coronavirus.
In his remarks, the Lagos State Governor, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, expressed his utmost gratitude to the Commission for its effort, making known that it was a welcome collaboration between the State Government and the Federal Government.
