FG Tells States to Increase Isolation Centres Due to Increasing COVID-19 Cases

The Federal Ministry of Health has ordered state governments to increase the number of isolation centres as the cases of coronavirus tops 2,950 on Wednesday 6th may 2020. 

The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, pleaded at the ongoing daily meeting of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in the FCT, making it known that the country was largely dealing with community speading of COVID-19. 

Ehanire said, "The number of confirmed  cases of the novel coronavirus which has crippled the global economy has continued to increase but not unexpectedly in Nigeria, in view of dominating circumstances in certain states. As at May 5, 148 persons had tested positive which brings the total number of infections to 2,950 in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
